Workshop Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Ensure workshop tools and equipment are correctly maintained. Use specialist equipment safely and correctly. Dispose of waste oils, tyres, batteries, and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations. Excellent understanding of petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicle systems. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Knowledge of DVSA road worthiness standards. Good understanding of vehicle servicing schedules. Competent in using electronic diagnostic equipment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and within a team. Good communication and organisational skills. Qualifications Level 3 Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent). Full UK Driving Licence (desirable ). MOT Tester qualification (desirable). Hybrid/Electric Vehicle qualification (desirable). Experience Previous experience working as a Light Vehicle Mechanic. Experience diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults. Experience servicing and repairing a range of commercial vans and light goods vehicles. Familiarity with manufacturer repair procedures and diagnostic systems.
