No.: CJD(phone number removed)B Location: Bridgend Salary: 26,000 - 30,000 This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a trusted, industry-leading multidisciplinary consultancy, known for lending their expertise to a diverse group of projects across the civil and structural engineering landscapes. My client is seeking a talented, driven Assistant Flood Risk Consultant, willing to take on challenging projects alongside a team of expert design engineers and technicians, covering a range of projects near the conveniently-located, family-friendly town of Bridgend, and across the surrounding region. Benefits for the role of Assistant Flood Risk Consultant (but are not limited to): A highly-competitive base salary Enrolment in a company pension scheme Generous annual leave entitlement Access to private healthcare schemes Opportunities to pursue fully-funded Professional Chartership Frequent social activities with a close-knit team Responsibilities for the role of Assistant Flood Risk Consultant include: Conducting flood risk surveys for planning, mitigation of properties, and assessments Undertaking site-specific flood risk analysis in relation to climate change Preparing flood risk and consequence assessments, flood management plans, and drainage strategies Preparing and submitting SAB applications to the relevant local authorities Using GIS software programmes to analyse and interpret flood risk data Helping maintain the in-house flood risk database Providing support to other colleagues across a wide range of tasks Participating in team meetings and site visits, as and when required Required skills and experience for the role of Assistant Flood Risk Consultant include: A Bachelor's/Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Geography, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant discipline) Demonstrable experience of authoring flood risk and flood consequence assessments Experience of producing flood mitigation reports and/or preparing and submitting SAB applications Excellent working knowledge of GIS software and its uses in data analysis Possess a full, valid UK driving licence Desirable skills and experience for the role of Assistant Flood Risk Consultant include: Possess a good knowledge of the local region and its characteristics Be willing to travel to a wide variety of sites, as and when required If you are interested in the role of Assistant Flood Risk Consultant, please do not hesitate to contact the Civils and Hydrology Team at Penguin Recruitment.
