JOB DESCRIPTION We are currently recruiting for an Independent Living Advisor to join our team on a full time permanent contract, covering the Waterlooville region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. You will be working 35 per week, over 5 days, Monday - Friday. Reporting to the Independent Living Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality housing management services across our sheltered schemes. You will build strong relationships with residents, support prospective tenants through viewings and the moving-in process, and ensure residents fully understand their tenancy agreements, including their rights and responsibilities. You will also provide advice and guidance on accessing financial support, including housing-related benefits, and signpost or refer residents to appropriate services such as assistive technology, property adaptations, or additional support where needed. As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you will carry out scheme inspections, ensure health and safety standards are met, and monitor contractor performance to maintain high service delivery standards. As this is a floating role, flexibility to travel across schemes in the Hampshire region is essential. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required. Mileage expenses are reimbursed at 45p per mile for business travel. We are currently recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor (Policy) to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-6-month contract. This role will lead on the development, review and implementation of HR policies, providing expert advice on employment law and employee relations while working closely with senior stakeholders and Trade Unions. This opportunity would suit candidates with experience in HR Policy, Employee Relations, Employment Law, Organisational Change, Trade Union consultation and Local Government environments. Key Details: Location: Reading, RG1 (Hybrid or Fully Remote Considered) Contract Length: 3-6 Months Rate: £350 per day Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Lead the development, review, drafting and implementation of HR policies, procedures and guidance. Ensure all policies remain compliant with current UK employment legislation, case law and best practice. Provide expert HR policy and employee relations advice to senior managers and HR colleagues. Lead consultation and negotiation activities with recognised Trade Unions. Support organisational change programmes, restructures and TUPE-related projects. Produce policy guidance, manager toolkits, training materials and implementation resources. Monitor legislative developments and recommend policy improvements where required. Deliver training sessions and briefings on HR policies and employment law matters. Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organisation. Contribute to wider HR service improvement and strategic workforce initiatives. Requirements: Proven experience developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies within a large, complex organisation. Previous Local Government experience is essential. Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law and Employee Relations. Experience working directly with Trade Unions, including consultation and negotiation. Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring and TUPE projects. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
