Advance's Criminal Justice Services work with women involved in the Criminal Justice System offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime free lives. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide one to one community support to women with a variety of needs simultaneously and will be co-located with partner organisations in their region. You will be expected to travel to Advance's Head office in London for any organisational meetings and training, as and when required. This post is not fixed hours or full time, work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis as and when required to meet the needs of the business. This is a permanent post and the successful candidate will be required to work full time 40 hours per week. This post involves some weekend working. ABOUT THE JOB & SERVICE This Service is ran by a well established housing organisation and charity, who for years have provided housing support, advice and supported accommodation to vulnerable individuals across the UK. As a support worker for this service, the successful candidate will be expected to: - Facilitate client meetings and other client participation methods. - Conduct regular client support plan reviews, completing and updating individual support plans. - Work with clients to achieve their identified goals in accordance with company policy, including client benefits being maximised and personal payments are made as part of a budget plan. - Work with colleagues to design and deliver a range of in-house support provisions designed to achieve successful outcomes. - Delegate to and coordinate the work of Assistant Support workers with clients, to ensure actions as identified in client support plans, are addressed in a timely professional and appropriate manner. - Complete and review client's assessments including risk assessments, within contractual timeframes, using a person-centred and trauma sensitive approach. - Respect the diversity of other people's culture, faith and practice. - Ensure all practice is in line with relevant legislation, guidelines and polices to protect clients, colleagues, staff and visitors from any abuse, accident or injury. - Complete any other duties as could be reasonably expected in the fulfilment of this role. An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS is required for this role.
