Day Shifts: 42 hours per week Permanent role available in the Sealant team Mon-Thurs: 6:00am-3:00pm (30-min paid break), Fri: 6:00am-12:00 noon What you'll be doing This is a hands-on role, and you'll be part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating process equipment and supporting production within your department. Over timey ou'll become multi-skilled through structured training and on-the-job learning, with the opportunity to gain your FLT (Forklift Truck) licence on-site. Some tasks will be repetitive, while others demand a high level of precision and attention to detail or physical endurance. The environment can be dusty, noisy and industrial, with occasional exposure to vapours - but full PPE and safety training are provided. Role: Shift Chemical Process Operator (4 on 4 off days & nights) Location: Livingston Salary: c. 40,000 (inc shift allowance) + bonus and benefits Our client is a global chemical manufacturer based in Livingston. They manufacture and supply a range of speciality chemicals for use in the healthcare and manufacturing industries. They are recruiting a Chemical Process Operator to join their busy production team on a 4 on 4 off (6.00am - 6.00pm / 6.00pm - 6.00am) shift rota. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe operation of the manufacturing plant and equipment by carrying out assigned tasks whilst adhering to the site HSE regulations. Other responsibilities include (but aren't limited to): Operating plant and equipment to achieve the required production levels in accordance with SOP's by following the production plan. Ensuring the quality of finished product is satisfactory Undertaking routine checks on plant and equipment investigating, reporting and repairing (where possible) any faults identified Applicants for this role should ideally be qualified to HND level in a technical discipline and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of HSE regulations in a highly regulated and / or hazardous manufacturing environment. A counterbalance FLT license is also a requirement for this role as is significant, demonstrable experience working in a Chemical, Pharmaceutical or other Chemical Process industry.
