We are recruiting for an experienced and technically strong Senior Claims Adjuster - Casualty on behalf of one of the leading insurers in the Lloyd's of London insurance market. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex and high-value claims from first notification through to resolution, delivering high-quality technical handling, strong stakeholder engagement and exceptional customer outcomes. The Casualty portfolio includes General Liability, Product Liability, and Medical Professional Liability across a broad range of industries, offering exposure to complex claims, sectors, and jurisdictions. The role currently focuses on US claims, but over time will also include International General Liability claims. Key Responsibilities Developing a thorough understanding of the portfolio and proactively adjusting claims from notification through to settlement. Applying a strong understanding of policy coverage, wordings and exclusions. Analysing and determining coverage, liability and quantum, including multi-jurisdictional and technically challenging issues. Maintaining accurate claims files and documentation in line with internal and regulatory standards. Acting as a subject matter expert within the Casualty portfolio, providing technical guidance and mentoring to more junior team members. Building and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Instructing and proactively managing panel lawyers and external experts. Escalating complex or high value matters appropriately to senior stakeholders.
