Essential requirements Experience in housing, repairs, customer service, advocacy, care and support, or a related field. Experience managing complex cases involving multiple stakeholders. Experience supporting vulnerable residents or customers with diverse needs. Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm, organised and resilient when managing a demanding caseload. Confidence challenging delays and driving actions through to completion. Good record-keeping, data management and IT skills. A resident-focused, empathetic and accountable approach. Knowledge of housing repairs processes, safeguarding, social housing regulation or the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code would be advantageous.

Welfare Officer Location: Crowborough Salary: up to £34,000pa Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (48 hours per week - Nights) About the Role We are currently recruiting for Welfare Officers to join our client at their Crowborough site. This is an excellent opportunity to join an independent organisation that delivers accommodation services across the UK, supporting both central and local government, as well as the charitable sector. As a Welfare Officer, you will play a key role in providing direct advice, support, and safeguarding to Service Users (SUs) residing in temporary accommodation. You will manage an assigned caseload, ensuring welfare standards are maintained while working in line with company procedures.
