Job Responsibilities: Define, implement, and maintain the software quality strategy across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring compliance with internal development processes. Ensure software development activities comply with relevant regulatory standards, including ISO13485 and IEC62304 Manager to ensure software quality and regulatory requirements are embedded throughout development. Oversee software verification and validation activities, including planning, execution, and documentation of unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing. Develop and maintain test plans, protocols, verification records, and traceability documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory inspections. Work closely with software engineers to embed quality into every stage of the SDLC through effective quality assurance processes and continuous improvement. Manage the software defect lifecycle, including defect logging, prioritisation, tracking, verification, and closure. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and change control activities to ensure quality and regulatory considerations are addressed throughout development. Produce and maintain quality documentation, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and reporting any quality or compliance issues Required Skills & Experience: Experience in Software Quality Assurance within a regulated industry Experience working/adhering to ISO13485 and IEC62304 Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a regulated environment. Previous software engineering experience, with a successful transition into a Software Quality or Quality Engineering role. Experience defining, implementing, and documenting software quality strategies and release processes. Knowledge of software verification and validation, including test planning, test case design, defect management, and traceability. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, and GitLab. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across software, quality, and regulatory teams.
