You will play an important role in the safe delivery of the Inspection and Maintenance Programme, working either as part of a team or independently across the Services geographical area. The role involves carrying out the full range of tasks associated with substation inspections and vegetation management at substation voltages up to 33kV, helping to keep critical infrastructure safe, compliant and operational. You'll work as part of a team or as a lone worker, in the Services geographical area, carrying out the full range of tasks associated with Substation Inspections and vegetation management at substation voltages up to 33kV. Your duties will include inspection and non-intrusive diagnostic testing of all plant and apparatus associated with the HV and LV distribution network, fault location and repair of minor plant defects, taking oil samples where required for diagnostic testing from HV plant, and using hand-held IT equipment to capture and manage information.
