What you'll be doing: Installation of a variety of types of cables (multi-core, single core and co-axial) & electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches etc.) Cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of electrical installations Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards Core duties: You will have completed a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification and hold a SJIB card You have experience working in marine installations or major industrial environments You're familiar with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH and safe working requirements You can read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics and technical instructions You understand tag out processes and know how to conduct safe proving dead procedures You're skilled in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components and completing cable terminations to trade standards The Electrician Team: The electrical team builds the power and control systems that bring our Type 26 frigates to life.
