Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the recycling plant Service granulators, including changing and setting knives, wear bars, screens, hydraulic systems, cleaning and greasing Maintain ring crushers and other plant machinery Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime Work closely with Shift Managers and production teams to schedule maintenance effectively Monitor and maintain spare parts stock, reporting low stock levels when required Liaise with fabricators and external contractors where necessary Complete maintenance records and provide detailed shift handovers Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce recurring faults Maintain workshop standards and ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement Requirements Previous experience in a maintenance fitting or industrial maintenance role Previous experience in a lead or supervisory position would be advantageous Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, hydraulics and PLCs MIG welding experience Ability to prioritise workload and respond quickly to breakdowns Good understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures Computer literate, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel Forklift licence preferred, although training can be provided Experience within the waste, recycling, metals or heavy industrial sector would be beneficial Flexible approach to working shifts and overtime This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established recycling business where you'll play a vital role in maintaining critical plant equipment while benefiting from a unique shift pattern, excellent benefits and long-term career opportunities.
