The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team and will be encouraged to develop both existing client relationships and new business opportunities. The Role The successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload with an emphasis on technically challenging Private Client matters. Responsibilities Manage your own caseload from instruction through to completion. Advise high-net-worth individuals and families. Draft complex Wills and trust documentation. Advise on Inheritance Tax mitigation strategies. Create and administer lifetime and testamentary trusts. Deal with complex estate administrations. Advise executors, trustees and beneficiaries. Handle Court of Protection and Deputyship matters. Supervise junior solicitors, legal executives and support staff. Assist with business development and networking. Build relationships with financial advisers, accountants and other professional referrers. Produce articles, seminars and marketing content to support the department's continued growth. Candidate Requirements We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, technically excellent and passionate about delivering first-class client care. Essential Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive. Significant experience in Private Client law. Strong technical knowledge of Trusts, Estate Planning, Inheritance Tax, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection Ability to independently manage complex matters. Excellent drafting skills. Strong client relationship and business development abilities. Experience supervising junior team members. Highly Desirable STEP qualification (or working towards STEP). Membership of, or accreditation by, relevant private client professional bodies. Experience acting for business owners, landed estates and high-net-worth clients. Existing referrer network.
