This is a field-based business development role , focused on building strong, long-term relationships with brokers and introducers and generating high-quality new lending opportunities across Bridging and Buy-to-Let . You will be the face of the Bank in the broker market, developing new relationships, strengthening existing partnerships and helping brokers navigate the lending journey from initial opportunity through to completion. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Origination Proactively identify and source high-quality lending opportunities through existing and new broker and introducer relationships. Build, develop and maintain a strong network of brokers and introducers, with a clear focus on generating new business. Conduct regular broker visits across London and the wider market to identify opportunities, understand market trends and convert prospects into completed deals. Represent the Bank at industry events, conferences, networking forums and broker meetings to increase market visibility and strengthen relationships. Develop relationships with national and regional broker networks, aligning business development activity with local market opportunities and the Bank's strategic objectives. Maintain an active pipeline and consistently work towards agreed new business and performance targets. Provide brokers with a high level of service and market insight, positioning the Bank as a trusted lending partner. Deal Management & Collaboration Ensure broker-submitted applications are accurately packaged, complete and aligned with internal credit and compliance requirements. Work closely with Credit, Underwriting, Operations and Completions to ensure cases progress efficiently and issues are resolved promptly. Maintain strong communication with brokers throughout the lending process, helping to deliver a smooth and positive customer experience. Monitor pipeline activity and performance, providing accurate updates against agreed KPIs. Share market intelligence and broker feedback internally to help shape the Bank's proposition and identify new opportunities. About You We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate positive impact. You will ideally have: A proven track record of achieving business development targets within Bridging, Buy-to-Let and/or Commercial Mortgages . An established network of brokers and introducers, with the ability and desire to continue expanding it. Strong knowledge of the UK specialist lending market. Excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills. A strong understanding of the end-to-end lending process, particularly across Bridging and Buy-to-Let . The ability to operate within lending guidelines while balancing commercial opportunities with sound risk awareness. Knowledge of risk management, core lending principles and financial analysis. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. A proactive, entrepreneurial and commercially focused approach. The confidence and motivation to spend significant time in the market meeting brokers, introducers and industry contacts. Qualifications & Experience A degree or higher education qualification would be advantageous, although significant relevant industry experience will be equally valued . Professional qualifications or accreditations from recognised industry bodies are desirable, alongside a commitment to continued professional development.
