Key Responsibilities: Fabricate, cut, shape, and assemble metal components Carry out MIG welding (2-10mm) and TIG welding (from 1.2mm stainless steel) Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Mechanical fitting and assembly of fabricated components Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy Operate workshop machinery and tools safely Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop housekeeping About You (Essential): Proven experience in fabrication and welding Strong MIG welding experience (TIG advantageous) Ability to read and work from technical drawings Good mechanical fitting skills High attention to detail and quality standards Strong understanding of health & safety Able to work independently and as part of a team Own transport due to location Desirable: Experience within the agricultural or similar industry TIG welding on stainless steel down to approx. 1.2mm Welding/fabrication qualifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) Why Apply? Key duties include: Reading & working to technical engineering drawings Cutting / forming materials, grinding, bending using workshop machinery (e.g., press brakes, guillotines & drills) Fabricating & producing high-quality MIG & TIG welds on mild steel, stainless steel & aluminium Performing weld quality & dimensional checks against set specifications.
