The successful candidate will have responsibility for a 4-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home in Hoddesdon and a 1-bed solo placement service in Broxbourne . The services are being developed to provide high-quality, individualised care and support for children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager who is looking to take on a dual-registered position and play a key role in developing and maintaining high standards across two specialist services. Key Responsibilities Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager with overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the services. Successfully manage and maintain registration across both children's residential provisions. Lead and manage the staff teams, ensuring safe, effective and child-centred care. Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards. Maintain strong safeguarding practices and ensure the welfare and safety of children remain the highest priority. Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies. Monitor children's progress, outcomes and placement plans, ensuring care is personalised to individual needs. Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and ongoing development of staff. Manage staffing levels, rotas and resources effectively across both services. Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to maintain strong governance and quality assurance. Prepare the services for Ofsted inspections and respond effectively to any recommendations or requirements. Maintain accurate records and ensure all regulatory and organisational documentation is up to date. Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive culture within the homes. Requirements Minimum 2 3 years' experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager within children's residential care. Proven experience managing an Ofsted-registered children's home. Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards. Experience working with children and young people with EBD, complex needs or challenging behaviours . Strong safeguarding and risk management knowledge. Proven leadership and staff management experience. Experience managing inspections, compliance and quality assurance. A relevant Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification is highly desirable. Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills. Full UK driving licence desirable.
