About you: Essentials: Proven experience in engineering management within waste management, recycling, processing, manufacturing, aggregates, quarrying or heavy industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Experience managing maintenance teams and contractors. Experience implementing preventative maintenance programmes. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Full UK driving licence. Strong leadership presence. Commercially aware and results driven. Practical problem solver. Organised and methodical. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Committed to driving safety, reliability and operational excellence. Desirable: Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering. Engineering management qualification. IOSH or NEBOSH qualification. Experience with CMMS maintenance management systems. Knowledge of mobile plant including loading shovels, excavators, telehandlers, shredders, screens, trommels and conveyors.
