Day-to-Day Responsibilities Carrying out responsive electrical repairs in occupied domestic properties. Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults including lighting, sockets, circuits and consumer units. Completing repairs to heating controls, extractor fans and electrical accessories. Undertaking minor electrical installation works where required. Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations. Accurately recording completed work using handheld devices. Delivering exceptional customer service while working in tenants' homes. Working safely and efficiently in accordance with Health & Safety procedures. Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota (additional payments provided). What We're Looking ForEssential Experience Qualified Electrician with experience in domestic electrical maintenance. Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, local authority or domestic responsive repairs is highly desirable. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Full UK Driving Licence. Essential Qualifications NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (17th Edition considered where applicable). Desirable City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent). Experience completing EICRs. Previous responsive maintenance experience.
