Senior Java Engineer eDV or DV Cleared 70,000- 90,000 Cheltenham National Security Build software that enables analysts to turn complex, multi-source data into actionable intelligence. We're looking for experienced Java Engineers to develop secure, cloud-native platforms supporting some of the UK's most sensitive National Security programmes. You'll work across large-scale data ingestion, distributed systems, analyst tooling and secure microservices, solving complex engineering challenges in highly regulated environments. What you'll be building Java services and Apache NiFi data pipelines that ingest, enrich and process large-scale mission data Secure Spring Boot microservices deployed on OpenShift and Kubernetes Event-driven distributed systems using message brokers to connect services, data stores and processing pipelines Modern JavaScript applications and REST APIs that enable analysts to search, visualise and manage operational data Cross-domain solutions that move information securely between networks of different classifications Technology Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs Apache NiFi, distributed data processing, message brokers Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud-native architecture JavaScript, web API integration and authentication GitLab, CI/CD, SecDevOps, observability Database technologies and distributed systems We're looking for Strong commercial Java development experience Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems Spring Boot and cloud-native engineering expertise Experience working with Kubernetes or OpenShift A passion for clean, resilient software engineering Experience with Apache NiFi, secure environments or modern JavaScript is advantageous.
