You'll partner closely with Area Managers and Store Leadership teams, supporting them to get the very best from their people whilst helping to shape and deliver the wider people agenda. This is a field-based role with the expectation that you'll spend a minimum of 3 days per week within stores, so you'll need to enjoy being visible, hands-on and close to the operation. What you'll be doing: Partnering with Area Managers and Store Leaders to translate commercial priorities into clear people plans Acting as a trusted advisor across workforce planning, organisational design and capability Coaching and developing leaders to build high-performing and engaged teams Leading the talent and performance agenda across your region, including succession planning and identifying future talent Supporting recruitment, onboarding, development and retention across the retail estate Providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice across complex ER and employment law matters Using people data including turnover, absence, engagement and ER trends to identify challenges and drive action Supporting engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives across the business Working closely with the wider People team and Shared Services to ensure a consistent colleague experience Leading and supporting wider people projects and change initiatives What we're looking for: An experienced HR Business Partner, ideally from retail or another fast-paced, multi-site environment Someone commercially minded who understands the realities of partnering an operational business A confident coach and influencer who can build credibility with leaders at all levels Strong employment law knowledge with experience managing complex ER Experience using people data and insight to influence decisions Someone organised, resilient and comfortable managing multiple priorities Happy to travel extensively across your region and spend a minimum of 3 days per week in stores The package: Salary of £50,000 Company car 33 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service Birthday off 4% matched pension contribution Generous colleague discount Enhanced family leave Health and wellbeing support Learning and development opportunities Charity volunteering day Plus a wider range of colleague benefits This is a great opportunity for an HRBP who wants to be genuinely embedded within the operation, working with leaders to influence performance, develop talent and make a real impact across a large retail estate.
