What you'll be doing: You'll manage a varied portfolio of projects, from residential schemes to commercial sites and landmark cultural institutions. This role is crucial for ensuring that residential properties meet statutory housing standards, including the Decent Homes Standard and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). Day-to-day of the role: Conduct pre-acquisition, routine, and reactive property inspections across various boroughs. Assess properties against Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS, and local authority licensing requirements. Identify Category 1 and Category 2 hazards and provide clear recommendations for remedial actions. Produce detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence and compliance actions. Liaise directly with landlords and letting agents to communicate inspection findings, agree on remedial works, and negotiate improvement plans.
