Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and grow sales of off-grid solar systems across the territory. Manage existing accounts to maximise retention, satisfaction and revenue. Identify and convert new business opportunities. Develop relationships with customers, distributors, manufacturers and industry contacts. Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, events and targeted prospecting. Identify new market sectors, routes to market and distribution opportunities. Develop cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Monitor competitor activity and market developments. Technical Sales Provide technical advice on solar, electronics, 12V applications and product suitability. Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. Respond to technical and commercial enquiries. Support customers with product selection and technical queries. Help resolve customer issues and provide product support. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge. Provide product demonstrations and training where required. Account & Market Development Build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Identify opportunities to increase account value. Develop new relationships across trade and commercial sectors. Research new markets and customer opportunities. Gather customer and market intelligence. Provide feedback to support product development and commercial decisions. CRM & Sales Pipeline Manage opportunities from initial lead through to completion. Maintain accurate CRM and customer records. Manage and develop the territory sales pipeline. Monitor sales targets and KPIs. Forecast future sales and identify opportunities requiring further action. Produce regular sales and pipeline reports. Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to the General Manager. Develop territory sales and business plans. Trade Shows & Representation Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, customer meetings, networking events, distributor meetings and industry events. Technical & Commercial Experience A qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, solar technology or a related discipline would be desirable, although relevant practical experience will be considered. Experience in solar and renewable energy, electronics, electrical products, 12V systems, caravan and motorhome equipment, camping and leisure products, automotive, marine, off-grid power systems or other technical products would be advantageous. A proven background in sales, account management or business development is essential, together with evidence of strong customer and commercial performance.
