TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic, fast growing mid tier firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone with the recruitment of an Audit & Accounts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and forward thinking practice that provides a varied mixture of audit, accounts and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses. The firm has experienced impressive growth and is now looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to support its continued development. You will manage a varied client portfolio, oversee audit and accounts assignments, and play an important role in developing both client relationships and junior members of the team. The role Managing a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients, acting as their main point of contact and developing trusted relationships with business owners, finance directors and senior management teams. Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, including identifying key risks, developing the audit approach, reviewing files and presenting findings and practical recommendations to clients. Overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed budgets and deadlines. Providing clients with broader commercial and advisory support, helping them understand their financial performance and improve their systems, controls and internal processes. Managing workloads and resources across multiple assignments while coaching, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior and qualified members of the team. Working closely with the partners on complex assignments, client development, process improvements and the continued growth of the audit and accounts department. Requirements You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong experience gained within an accountancy practice. You should have experience managing audit assignments and accounts work for owner managed businesses, alongside the confidence to manage client relationships and supervise junior members of staff. Most importantly, you will be commercially minded, ambitious and keen to contribute to the continued growth of a successful firm.
