We're currently recruiting for up to 4 " Assembly Operatives " to join a very longstanding and stable company based in the Berkhamsted area in their site based just off of the Highstreet; to support them on a contract project for the next 4+ months and then to be reviewed. This is a global company and you'd have the chance to join their small specialist assembly team, being responsible for helping produce high-precision assemblies. The company offers full and structured training as well as the chance to be involved in hands-on experience with some of the most advanced manufacturing processes and techniques. A position like this is going to be ideal for someone with a kind and sociable attitude to fit in with the team, someone enthusiastic with great attention to detail, and definitely someone that doesn't mind getting stuck into something hands on and working with some intricate assembly work - With this in mind, any previous assembly type experience and work would be hugely advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given and some of our most recent and most successful placements in this exact role had no experience at all either, but the right attitude! Due to the nature of this work, this is going to be ideal for someone happy to do something extremely repetitive, you'll be working on the same projects and components daily with little variation. There is also an element of computer-based work that goes alongside the assembly work, so you will need to be comfortable with picking up and using a new CRM/ERP system to help log and track work/goods. The role itself will be based fully in their Berkhamsted site and you'd be working 8am to 4.45pm (Mon-Thurs) and then it's a 3.30pm finish on a Friday. With this being a contracted project to begin with, this will be paying an hourly rate of £12.71 per hour + holiday accrual and you would be directly employed by the company. What to expect day to day: Precision Assembly: Execute intricate assembly processes adhering to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality protocols. Quality Assurance: Conduct continuous in-process inspections using calibrated measurement tools. Digital Documentation: Accurately record production data, material usage, and quality metrics in an ERP system (training provided). Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce waste, optimize processes, and enhance workplace safety. Collaborative Operations: Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality control, and logistics teams to meet on-time delivery targets. Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health & safety regulations. What do we need from you: Quality Focus: Exceptional attention to detail. Core Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs including Maths & English Good computer skills are an absolute must and essential to already have. Right to live and work full time in the UK - And easily work fully in Berkhamsted, the offices are about a 10 minute walk from the train station and there is plenty of parking on site too. Looking for the next step in your career? Think Specialist Recruitment.
