If you want to help deliver this future, we are looking for enthusiastic and creative people to join our team. The Role Based at the Safran Electrical & Power Centre of Excellence in Pitstone you will work within the Systems Engineering team to lead the development of advanced aircraft electrical power generation, distribution and propulsion systems. Responsible for the full systems engineering lifecycle, you will define, develop, integrate and support innovative electrical systems from concept through to certification and in-service support. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will provide technical leadership, manage customer and stakeholder requirements, oversee system integration and verification activities, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards and certification requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technologies while engaging closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams to deliver complex safety-critical systems. Lead systems engineering work packages, ensuring delivery to schedule, budget, quality and applicable standards. Define and manage system requirements, working closely with customers and multidisciplinary teams. Develop system architectures, perform performance analysis, trade studies and support system integration. Oversee subsystem development and ensure effective requirements flow-down and implementation. Lead verification, validation and compliance activities throughout the system lifecycle. Provide technical leadership, acting as the primary customer interface for system development and performance decisions. We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you: Degree qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace, Systems or a related discipline) or possess equivalent experience in a relevant technical field. Proven experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including system design, integration, verification and validation, ideally within electrical power generation, distribution or electrical propulsion systems. Experience working on aircraft systems or other complex safety-critical products, with a strong understanding of their development and integration challenges. Good understanding of Systems Engineering principles and processes, and their application throughout the product lifecycle. Demonstrated ability to work with customers and stakeholders to capture, analyse and translate needs into clear technical requirements, while building effective relationships. Experience leading technical reviews, workshops and customer meetings within the aerospace sector. Knowledge and experience of: oSystem architecture definition and decomposition oOperational, functional and physical analysis oRequirements definition and management oSystem integration oVerification & Validation (V&V) planning and execution oSystem implementation and verification Experience using Windchill requirements management tools would be advantageous. Familiarity with aerospace systems development standards and processes, particularly ARP4754, is desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
