At the same time, you'll take the lead on our strategic engagement with awarding organisations, helping to strengthen the performance, capacity and resilience of that market, and ensuring awarding organisations understand and meet regulatory expectations. We're looking for someone who can operate confidently at pace and with authority. You'll need a strong track record across the full range of communications disciplines, with particular depth in strategic communications planning and evaluation, ideally underpinned by GCS best practice You'll bring established credibility with senior stakeholders, sound judgement under pressure, and the ability to horizon scan, spotting emerging issues before they become problems and shaping the right response. Just as importantly, you'll be a people leader who builds high-performing, inclusive teams; someone who welcomes challenge, communicates with clarity and confidence, and can influence and persuade a wide range of audiences, from awarding organisation leaders to Ofqual's own Board. If you want a role where strategic communications expertise translates directly into public trust and market resilience, we'd love to hear from you.

Experis
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Experis City, Derby
Senior Infrastructure Engineer Derby 55,000- 65,000 Permanent Onsite We're working with a growing technology team in Derby who are looking to add an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a number of complex, project-led infrastructure environments. This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role. You'll be joining an established team working predominantly across secure, on-premise infrastructure, taking technical designs through into build, configuration, deployment and ongoing improvement. They need somebody who can come in and contribute quickly. Someone comfortable getting into the detail, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and taking ownership of delivery rather than simply escalating problems elsewhere. What you'll be doing You'll work across a range of infrastructure projects covering new deployments, upgrades, migrations and improvements to existing environments. Day to day, that could include: Building and configuring Windows Server environments. Designing and implementing Active Directory domains, including multi-domain and multi-forest environments. Deploying and managing server and client applications. Configuring and troubleshooting Group Policy. Working across DFS, DHCP, DNS and associated networking. Taking HLDs / LLDs and turning them into working infrastructure solutions. Troubleshooting complex server, application and network issues. Supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations and new deployments. Identifying improvements across the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle. The environment is highly secure and predominantly on-premise, so this is a role for somebody who enjoys being close to the technology and solving problems hands-on. What we're looking for The key requirement is genuine 3rd / 4th line infrastructure engineering experience. We need somebody who has personally built and configured infrastructure rather than solely supported environments created by somebody else. You'll need strong experience across: Windows Server and Windows client technologies. Active Directory. Group Policy. DFS, DHCP and DNS. Networking fundamentals and topologies. Server and client application deployment, including technologies such as IIS and Tomcat. Infrastructure build, implementation and troubleshooting. You should also be comfortable working from technical design documentation and independently taking a solution through to implementation. This isn't a step-up role from 2nd line support. The team needs somebody who has already operated at this level and can work with a high degree of technical independence from day one. Security clearance Due to the nature of the environment, SC clearance is required. Candidates with current SC clearance are strongly preferred, although technically strong candidates who are eligible to obtain SC clearance may also be considered. You'll also need to be comfortable working within a restricted environment where access to mobile phones, the internet and external resources can be limited. Location The role is based onsite in Derby. Some of the infrastructure cannot be accessed remotely, so regular onsite attendance is a fundamental part of the position. Candidates from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, the wider East Midlands and Birmingham will all be considered where the commute is realistic. The normal working pattern is broadly standard office hours, although project activity may occasionally require earlier starts or weekend work, with flexibility and time off in lieu. Package 55,000- 65,000, dependent on experience and clearance status. If you're a Senior Infrastructure, Wintel or Systems Engineer who enjoys actually building technology, solving difficult infrastructure problems and working in a hands-on project environment, we'd be keen to speak with you. If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.
