This role will support the Data and Projects Officer in the regular monitoring of the database to ensure that all content is kept diligently organised and up-to-date Minute-taking, as and when required Person Specification Essential Excellent communicator who can engage confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including businesses, partners and members of the public Creative thinker who can generate engaging content ideas Highly organised and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities across marketing, events and stakeholder engagement Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing website content, databases, event information, email communications and marketing materials Proactive and self-motivated, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and see them through from idea to delivery Digital confident, with an interest in social media, digital communications and content creation, and the ability to learn and use new platforms and tools quickly Good writing skills, with the ability to write clear, engaging and audience-appropriate copy for websites, newsletters, social media and other communications Collaborative team player who is willing to support colleagues across different areas of the organisation and contribute ideas Enthusiastic about Waterloo, with a genuine interest in local businesses, communities, events and what makes a place vibrant and distinctive Willing and able to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and out-of-hours events Desirable Experience working in a marketing, communications, events or engagement role Experience creating and managing social media and digital content Experience supporting the delivery of events Experience using platforms such as Canva, Eventbrite, WordPress and Mailchimp Understanding of place marketing, local businesses, community engagement or Business Improvement Districts Further job details and how to apply Benefits Include 30 days' holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays Place of work This is an area-based role and you will need to be active and present, with at least 2-3 days in the office.
