Key responsibilities: - Extract, analyse and manipulate financial and sales ledger data to support reporting and decision-making. - Produce regular finance reports, dashboards and analysis, identifying trends, variances, exceptions and areas requiring attention. - Investigate data discrepancies, account queries and other issues, working with relevant teams to understand and resolve problems. - Support reconciliations, month-end reporting and wider Finance processes. - Maintain and review finance and customer data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. - Identify gaps or inefficiencies within existing processes and suggest improvements. - Work closely with Finance, Sales and other internal teams to ensure data and reporting is accurate and reliable. - Provide analysis and updates to the Financial Controller, highlighting key findings, risks and actions required. - Support ad hoc analysis, projects and system/process improvements as required. About you: - Strong experience working with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts and data manipulation. - A genuine interest in working with data and investigating discrepancies or problems. - Previous experience within a Finance environment, with an understanding of basic finance processes, ideally including Sales Ledger. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to spot inconsistencies and understand the reasons behind them. - Highly organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. - Confident communicating findings and explaining data to stakeholders across the business. - Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system would be advantageous, but isn't essential. - A proactive approach, with the confidence to question processes and look for ways to improve them.
