This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to join a busy, commercially focused HR team, with the potential for longer-term opportunities within the organisation following the initial contract. The Role Reporting into an HR Business Partner, you will provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers across the business, taking ownership of a varied employee relations caseload. You will be responsible for providing sound advice across a broad range of HR matters, supporting managers to make fair, consistent and legally compliant decisions. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters including absence, probation, performance, capability, disciplinary and grievance cases. Providing managers with practical advice on HR policies, employment law, risk and appropriate next steps. Taking ownership of cases through to resolution, ensuring actions are progressed promptly and effectively. Supporting formal employee relations meetings and providing procedural and employment-law guidance. Managing attendance and absence cases, including occupational health referrals and reasonable adjustments. Advising on flexible working, family-related leave and other employee matters. Supporting organisational change activity, including restructuring, redundancy and TUPE. Coaching and developing managers in effective people-management practices. Identifying trends and recurring issues across employee relations and workforce data. Supporting HR projects and wider people initiatives across areas such as engagement, wellbeing, retention and talent. Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records, documentation and casework. Escalating complex or higher-risk matters to the HR Business Partner where appropriate.
