Systems Data Analyst Inside Contract Hybrid Rate: £350 - £420 per day Contract Duration: Initial 6 Months Hybrid: 40% or less onsite a week (London Industry: Professional Services / Highly Regulated Environment Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Systems Data Analyst to support a major technology transformation programme within a highly regulated organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in database analysis, data architecture documentation, and migration projects, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. Experience working with SQL, Azure technologies, complex enterprise applications, and modern database platforms is essential. Key Responsibilities: Assess and interpret data ecosystems across multiple business-critical applications. Capture and maintain technical documentation to support future-state platform design. Define data migration requirements and establish mapping between legacy and target systems. Partner with delivery teams to identify data dependencies, risks and integration requirements. Investigate legacy platforms to uncover undocumented functionality and data relationships. Contribute to data governance initiatives and promote best practice across projects. Qualifications & Requirements: Demonstrable experience within Data Analyst, Systems Analyst or Database-focused roles. Strong SQL skills and confidence analysing data held across diverse platforms. Solid understanding of data structures, modelling techniques and database architecture. Experience delivering data migration, transformation or application replacement projects. Knowledge of Azure data services and cloud-based database technologies. Exposure to document-oriented databases such as Azure Cosmos DB would be highly advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
