Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing 35,000 - 45,000 North Manchester Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm Are you an experienced Quality Manager in the Food Manufacturing sector looking to improve your work-life balance at a small, friendly and relaxed site, or are you an experienced QA professional that is looking for an opportunity to progress into management? This Food Manufacturing site employs about 20 people and has been supplying a range of sweet bakery goods to foodservice clients across the country for over 30 years. They've recently received backing from a larger UK food manufacturing group, and they're now looking for a Quality Manager to work closely with the site's existing leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the site's Food Safety, Quality and Compliance standards, working closely with production to ensure customer specifications, GMP and SOP requirements are met, leading audit readiness and regulatory compliance activities, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the business. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in Food Safety & Quality Assurance - either in a Quality Management position or as a Supervisor/Coordinator where they've held some degree of leadership responsibility. Managing, developing and training staff to maintain audit readiness and high standards. The ideal person will have: Experience within food manufacturing, with strong knowledge of quality, food safety and HACCP systems. Proven experience leading teams and improving performance in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, auditors and cross-functional teams. We are uniquely positioned to be able to provide equipment from 5HL all the way up to 20,000HL to sectors from brewing, biotech, pharmaceutical, dairy and distilling. About the Electrical Design Engineer We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to work as part of a highly skilled project engineering team responsible for the electrical design of various projects in the UK and European markets. The Electrical Design Engineer will take a P&ID and work through the client specifications to produce an electrical design including electrical control panels, IO schedules, Bill of Materials and Cable Schedules for site installation. You will provide support to other members of the Project Engineering team including the Project Managers, Mechanical, Process and Software Engineers. Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer Creating detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software. Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for electrical designs. Procurement of electrical components and materials. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Providing technical support to the installation teams and to clients. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in electrical design. Experience Required Experience in electrical design preferably in similar industries such as Brewing, Distilling, Food & Beverage Production or Pharmaceutical. Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (Draftsight, AutoCAD etc.). Knowledge of Capital X Panel Designer would be advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of electrical standards, regulations, and best practices. Good knowledge of 400V AC three-phase circuits & 24V DC control circuits. Knowledge of networking including Profinet, IO Link and AS-I. Experience working with variable-speed drives for motors & pumps. Siemens PLC & HMI familiarity is a bonus.
