Alongside that we will train and fund you towards a fire door inspection qualification. You will spend time on site with our fire door inspector, surveying doors in occupied buildings and writing up findings. You will be trained by our operations manager, our qualified fire door inspector and the managing director. This is a small enough company that you will learn from the people doing the work, not from a folder. What we need from you Well organised, and able to hold several jobs in your head at once without dropping any. Fluent English. You will be writing and speaking to clients, and in time producing quotations that carry our name. Confident on the phone, including when someone is annoyed. Quick with computers. Willing to learn a technical trade. This role suits someone who wants to build a career rather than fill a seat. A full UK driving licence is essential. The role is subject to a DBS check, as we work in schools, healthcare settings and children's charity accommodation. Any background where you have coordinated people, handled customers or worked to deadlines is relevant. Lettings, property management, plant hire, service desks, dispatch and hospitality supervision all transfer well. What matters is how you think, not the industry you came from. What we offer 28,000 per year from day one, with review as your qualifications come through. A small signwritten company van, or 30p per business mile if you would rather use your own car. 28 days holiday including bank holidays. Workplace pension. Fully funded training and qualifications. What you will be doing from day one Managing the engineers' diaries and making sure the right person is on the right job with the right kit. Booking in planned maintenance visits and reactive callouts. Answering the phone to clients and sorting out what they need. Sending out service reports and certificates. Keeping our job management system, accurate so our records and invoicing hold up. It is a busy desk. Stanground, Cambridgeshire
Operations Manager Cambridgeshire Up to £90,000 + Package This one's for someone who actually wants to run a production floor, not just hold the title. You'll have direct reports, full accountability for process and packing across a working production site. If SQPDC means nothing to you, Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, Cost, this isn't going to be a quick learning curve, it's the whole job. You'll be signing off on mass balance and traceability, managing yield and giveaway against target, and making sure GMP standards keep moving forward rather than standing still. If you've never had to explain a variance to a Site Director, you'll learn fast here. There's a strong CI and Lean thread running through this role. You won't just be firefighting, you'll be expected to build SOPs that actually get followed, drive the S&OP process to strip out constraints, and deliver a genuine programme of operational improvement. You'll also be doing the less glamorous stuff that comes with managing people properly. Labour planning against budget, holiday cover, absence management alongside HR, training and development plans that aren't just a tick box exercise. And when the Site Director's out, you're covering that seat too. What they need: solid HACCP training, proven BRC delivery experience, real operations management background in a food manufacturing environment, and the ability to read a P&L line as easily as a risk assessment. Strong communicator, properly organised, comfortable being the person people come to when something's gone wrong on the line. Food manufacturing experience will be essentially for this role, it'll be fast paced too. It might sound like every advert, but it really will be! If that's you, send your CV over. We'd love to have a chat.

My client is undertaking a major finance transformation programme through the implementation of OneAdvanced Financials (formerly e5 or eFinancials) a significant step forward in modernising the Council's finance systems and processes. As the project moves into its next phase, the Council is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Business Change Lead to drive engagement, adoption and business readiness across the organisation. Reporting to the Project Manager and working alongside an established project team, including a dedicated Finance Lead, this role will be instrumental in ensuring that colleagues across the Council understand the benefits of the new system and are prepared for the changes it will bring to the way they work. This is not a technical systems implementation role. Instead, the successful candidate will act as the bridge between the project team and the wider business, helping operational users understand how the new system will improve processes, streamline activities and support better ways of working. The Council is seeking an individual with outstanding stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills, capable of working closely with finance teams and operational users, particularly within areas such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The focus will be on leading conversations, managing change, building buy-in and promoting the benefits of the new system, rather than delivering technical training. Candidates are likely to be qualified accountants or finance professionals who have moved into business change, transformation or finance improvement roles. Previous involvement in a finance systems implementation, finance transformation programme or service redesign project is essential. A background within local government finance is highly desirable, and whilst experience of OneAdvanced Financials would be advantageous, it is by no means a prerequisite. Key Responsibilities Lead the business change workstream for the OneAdvanced Financials implementation. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and operational services. Assess and communicate the impact of system changes on business processes and ways of working. Act as an ambassador for the project, promoting the benefits and opportunities presented by the new system. Support managers and end users through the change journey, addressing concerns and encouraging adoption. Develop and deliver communication and engagement plans. Drive business readiness activities ahead of system go-live. Work closely with the Project Manager, Finance Lead and wider project team to ensure successful delivery. Candidate Profile Strong local authority finance background. Qualified accountant or finance professional with experience beyond traditional finance responsibilities. Proven involvement in a finance system implementation, finance transformation or redesign programme. Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrable experience leading organisational change. Ability to engage effectively with users at all levels, from operational teams through to senior stakeholders. Organised, proactive and confident working within a project environment. The role can be offered on a remote or hybrid basis with a day rate of £650 to £700 a day, inside IR35.
