Key Responsibilities Provide first line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees Manage and support employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters Support investigations, meetings, note taking and preparation of HR documentation Manage sickness absence reviews and provide guidance to managers Support flexible working requests and meetings Promote positive employee relations and support effective resolution of workplace issues Coordinate recruitment activity from advertising through to offer Screen applications and arrange interviews Manage references, right to work checks and pre employment checks Prepare contracts, offer documentation and HR correspondence Coordinate onboarding and induction for new employees Monitor probation periods and ensure reviews are completed Produce HR reports and management information Support employee wellbeing initiatives Assist with learning and development activities Support the review and development of HR policies and procedures What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring confidence, energy and a practical approach to the role. You'll ideally have: Previous experience working as an HR Advisor, HR Officer, People Advisor or similar HR generalist role Strong experience handling employee relations and HR casework Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence processes Experience managing sickness reviews and flexible working meetings Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice Experience across recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration CIPD Level 3 or Level 5, or currently working towards a relevant qualification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Confidence dealing with confidential and sensitive employee matters A proactive, dependable and solution focused approach What You'll Bring Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys being hands on.
