Duties of the Damp and Mould Surveyor: Undertake surveys, prepare schedules of condition, schedules of work, tender documentation and ensure specifications are kept up to date Oversee the right response to damp and mould cases based on severity Assist in the design, procurement and management of contracts and contractors in delivering works within the damp and mould workstreams Manage day to day workload Complete pre and post inspections Adhere to all health and safety regulations Requirements of the Damp and Mould Surveyor: Strong knowledge around the cause of damp and mould and HHSRS Driving licence and access to a vehicle

About the role As a Maintenance Surveyor, you'll deliver repairs and voids maintenance services for up to 800 properties across your region, collaborating with our teams and contractors to provide our customers with high-quality, timely repairs. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will inspire others and make sure our property services are constantly improving. The role is a mixture of site visits and desk-based work. You'll visit customer homes to understand their repairs needs, using your expert knowledge of the make-up of domestic buildings, HHSRS and schedule of rates to qualify repairs. You'll raise the repairs on our bespoke Housing Management System and update the customer account through to the completion of the works. You'll also uphold our Empty Homes (Voids) standard to deliver first-class quality homes in a timely manner. In line with Awaab's Law, you'll play a key role in identifying and addressing hazards such as damp and mould promptly and effectively, ensuring that health-related repairs are not delayed. Your understanding of housing disrepair will be essential in ensuring compliance, protecting customer wellbeing, and reducing risk. Through your collaboration with contractors, housing teams, and internal colleagues, you'll help improve service efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to Accent's mission of providing quality homes and services. About you You should have a HNC in Building (or an equivalent qualification) or experience in maintenance and construction, an understanding of building design, building fabrics and associated lifecycles, plus a strong understanding of contract performance and budget management. You'll have a strong customer focus, great communication skills, an ability to interpret building legislation and use operational software for property management. Interim / Contract Position Available - £350 Per Day Your new company As an experienced technical surveyor, you will join a forward-thinking local authority that is committed to maintaining high standards across its housing portfolio. Your new role You will be responsible for inspecting council-owned residential properties, identifying issues, recommending clear and actionable solutions. You will work closely with a framework contractor to ensure timely and effective remediation and resolution. This role will require presence in Oxford, as you'll be visiting multiple properties to undertake inspections on a weekly basis, as well as attending in-person meetings with the contractor.
