This role offers the chance to work on major water and wastewater treatment schemes, providing technical leadership while supporting project teams and developing the next generation of engineers. The Role As a Principal Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating process design from concept through to detailed design. You'll act as a key technical point of contact for clients, contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with regulatory and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Lead process design for wastewater treatment works across feasibility, outline, and detailed design phases. Produce and review core design deliverables such as: oProcess Flow Diagrams (PFDs) oP&IDs oMass and energy balances oProcess calculations and sizing oDesign Basis Reports (DBRs) oControl philosophies Oversee compliance with client specifications, regulatory frameworks, and industry codes (e.g., WIMES). Strong technical knowledge of biological, chemical, and sludge treatment processes. Experience working within UK water frameworks (AMP cycles) desirable.
