Key Responsibilities: Weld and fabricate commercial vehicle bodies and chassis using MIG and TIG processes Assemble and weld components and major fabrications from engineering drawings Work with mild steel and stainless steel (1.6mm to 6mm thickness) Read and interpret engineering drawings and ISO quality standards Mark out, fettle, clean and finish parts to meet paint and finishing requirements Pressure and leak test fabrications as required Maintain high standards of self-inspection and reject substandard work Complete required work records and paperwork accurately and timely Follow all health & safety procedures in accordance with company policy and risk assessments Maintain a clean and organized work environment Cross-train to gain full competency across multiple fabrication tasks Contribute to process improvements and support team initiatives Skills & Attributes: Proficient in MIG & TIG welding Experience working with stainless steel Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings High attention to detail and quality control Able to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to upskill and undertake welder coding Qualifications: Recognised welding qualifications Welder approval certificates Completion of relevant intense welding training courses How to Apply: Interested? Our clients are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their highly skilled team at their Eastbourne based Workshop. You must have experience in TIG & MIG welding to a high standard working with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass. The position requires a motivated person with experience who can communicate well and understand the diverse work range and able to deal well with customers requirements and standards of Quality. The candidate will need to be proficient in reading workshop drawings, be able to site measure and produce accurate work and install within the required time frames.
