Carry out other duties as required in direct support of the contract as directed by Line Manager and Business Management. What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Formal Vehicle Engineering Qualification - City & Guilds 1, 2 & 3 (or BTEC/IMI/NVQ equivalent). Experience: Experience and understanding of a military vehicle workshop and associated services. With experience / competence of working on Military "B" vehicle fleet (including HGV, non-armoured or lightly armoured transport, logistics, and engineering vehicles and Trailers). To have a good understanding and be IT literate (Vehicle diagnostics). Skills: Able to develop effective and supportive relationships with efficient communication with colleagues and peers. Embrace change and innovation in driving the change forward. Ability to understand and interpret technical literature and schematics and provide guidance to peers. Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required (Cat B+E minimal, Cat C desirable).

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring all maintenance, inspections, and repairs are carried out efficiently and to the highest standard.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, although all candidates will be considered. Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs in line with DVSA standards. Conduct 6-weekly PMIs, MOT preparations, and brake tests. Diagnose and rectify faults using the latest diagnostic equipment. Maintain and repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, gearbox, and braking systems. Complete defect reports and ensure timely, cost-effective maintenance. Carry out small repairs on light plant equipment when required. Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate with senior management on vehicle availability, costs, and incidents. Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently within given timescales. Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and inspection standards. Competent in the use of diagnostic tools and modern vehicle systems. Experience with a range of manufacturers and hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently and under pressure to tight deadlines. Full UK driving licence (required).
