Job Title: Operations Director of Property and Assets Daily Rate: 700 - 800 (negotiable) Location: Northwest London Job Type: Interim We are seeking an Operations Director of Property and Assets for a local authority in North West London. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a diverso portfolio of services, aligning with departmental and corporate aims to foster a high-performance, innovative, and customer-focused culture that embraces change. Day-to-day of the role: Act as the lead officer providing strategic direction, leadership, operational management, and financial control for the planning, development, delivery, and management of the council's portfolio of property and capital-funded projects and programmes. This includes housing management, development programmes, and the schools' capital programme. Support the Strategic Director of Resources in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency, and success of the department as a whole through effective leadership, resource, and budget management. Drive strategic direction and innovation, including digital innovation, planning, management, and governance. Manage the continuous development and delivery of the council's assets to maximise both revenue and capital opportunities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Membership in RICS, or similar professional bodies such as RIBA, RTPI, or CIOB. Substantial knowledge of major factors, influences, and legislation facing local government. Strong leadership experience in property and assets, with a proven track record in planning and development, project management, and commercial residential surveying.
