The Role: Managing the Room You won't be expected to plan lessons or mark homework. Your mission is to: Lead the Classroom: Stepping in for absent teachers to deliver pre-set work to groups of students (11-16). Maintain Order: Use your life experience and calm authority to keep students on task and follow the school's behaviour policy. Mentor Students: Be a positive role model for pupils with diverse needs, including SEMH and SEND . What We Offer Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday, roughly 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. If you have proven experience, gained in either a mainstream or special school, of working with the following additional needs, would love to hear from you: Autism Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) Moderate learning difficulties (MLD) Severe learning difficulties (SLD) Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) Your responsibilities may include: Helping students who need extra assistance with their work.
