New Role: Senior Claims Adjuster - ReinsuranceLloyd's InsurerCity of London I am currently partnered with a leading Syndicate who are seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join their growing Reinsurance division. This role will be adjusting Reinsurance Claims from the Syndicate, including but not limited to; Marine, Energy, Aviation, Credit Risk and A&H. My client is looking for someone with strong Reinsurance Claims Adjusting experience in the Specialty realm, who is proficient with ECF and Lloyd's Claims Schemes. Key Responsibilities Handle Reinsurance Claims within Claims Authority limits arising from the Syndicate. Contribute to the development and implementation of effective strategies, processes, and procedures within the Claims function to support the achievement of business objectives. Support Claims activity forecasting by analysing business volumes and applying knowledge of the Claims environment to inform decision-making. Manage and prioritise a personal caseload efficiently, ensuring the prompt, accurate, and effective handling of London market reinsurance claims. Address and resolve customer service matters swiftly to ensure timely and satisfactory outcomes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with reinsurers and brokers.

Your new role As a Senior Marine Hull Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing and developing a profitable portfolio of marine business. In this role, you will underwrite complex Marine Hull risks and negotiate terms with brokers across international markets. You will also take ownership of major and technically challenging claims, working closely with surveyors, adjusters and legal specialists to ensure they are handled efficiently and appropriately. In addition, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the portfolio by maintaining and enhancing long-term relationships with brokers, shipowners and other key partners. You will ensure that all underwriting and claims activity complies fully with FCA regulations, Lloyd's requirements and internal governance frameworks. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this position, you will bring substantial experience within Marine Hull insurance, whether from an underwriting, broking or complex claims background. You will have a strong technical understanding of maritime risks, policy wording and market developments, and you will be confident using market systems such as the Electronic Claims File (ECF). You will also demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building capabilities, enabling you to work effectively with senior stakeholders. Professional qualifications such as ACII, or active progress towards them, will be seen as an advantage.
