Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Construction Supervisor role Reporting to the Operations Director you will: Take site-level responsibility for electrical installation activities, including both low and high-voltage systems. Lead and coordinate subcontractor teams to maintain progress and quality on-site. Supervise installation of key electrical infrastructure such as transformers, switchgear, earthing, cabling, protection systems, and ducting. Interpret and work to technical drawings and specifications from network operators. Monitor all works to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and industry guidelines (e.g. NRSWA, NJUG). Support both surface and underground electrical works and contribute to QA and inspection procedures. Participate in testing, commissioning and ensure that required documentation is prepared and submitted. Communicate site progress to senior management and maintain effective reporting structures. Review and manage RAMS and technical documents from contractors. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience delivering LV and HV installations in a site-based setting (HV is essential). Background working on utility-scale or infrastructure-based electrical projects, ideally in energy, power, or renewables. Strong knowledge of network operator standards, ideally including G81 and up to 132kV. Experience managing site teams and subcontractors. Comfortable working under CDM regulations and familiar with HSG47 and wider safety legislation. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); working knowledge of SAP or DNO authorisation processes is a plus. Lead Delivery Engineer (SAP), Major Projects Location: Yorkshire Directorate: Energy Systems Opportunity Do you want to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects and help shape the electricity distribution network of the future? We re looking for an experienced Lead Project Delivery Engineer to join the Major Projects team, where you ll take the lead in managing and delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards from 11kV through to 132kV. You will bring extensive experience as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) , with operational authorisations in all disciplines at voltages from 11kV to 132kV or up to 400kV. You will also have in-depth knowledge of safety procedures, including CDM regulations and UK electrical safety rules. Set staff to work on complex EHV networks to safe systems of work. Deliver and manage strategic complex major projects to time, cost, and quality. Lead safety management and supervision on complex major projects. Plan and execute outages and Emergency Return to Service activities on complex networks. Lead operational assessment panels. Maintain in-depth knowledge on EHV subject matter and train colleagues in a formal setting. Key Competencies Extensive and current operational experience of operating on a UK network as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) in all disciplines and at all voltages from 11kV to 132kV. Current SAP experience at 275kV/400kV will also be considered. Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience of applying safety procedures, specifically CDM regulations, and the Distribution Safety Rules. Experience in plant and equipment commissioning. Proven track record of delivering complex projects to time, cost, and quality. Strong leadership skills. Qualifications & Experience HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least three years of relevant EHV SAP operational experience. Hold existing HV and EHV Senior Authorised Person status for a UK network company. NEBOSH/IOSH or similar qualification is desirable.
