Children also have the opportunity to work with our horses, donkeys, goats, alpaca and chickens. Learning outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of life at Trent Acres. We have a dedicated staff team who are focused on the delivery of high quality, child centred, bespoke packages of care and education. Our service is in within easy reach of Stoke, Derby, Telford, Stafford, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Burton-on-Trent, Tamworth, Uttoxeter and surrounding towns. Horizon are working on behalf of a highly respected specialist school for autistic students aged 1119. The school offers a structured, communication-rich environment with excellent facilities and a strong multidisciplinary team. The school is recruiting a SEND Teacher to work with secondary-aged pupils with ASD and associated communication needs. You will lead a small class with strong TA support. Responsibilities Delivering structured, autism-specialist teaching. Using visual supports, TEACCH principles, and communication systems. Collaborating with SaLT, OT, and pastoral teams. Supporting social communication, independence, and life skills. Requirements: QTS (essential). ASD teaching experience highly desirable. Strong ability to differentiate and personalise learning.
