JIRA Developer/JSM Consultant Rate: £450 per day IR35: Outside IR35 Location: Fully Remote Contract: Initial 3-6 months Payment: Monthly We are looking for an experienced JIRA Developer/JIRA Service Management (JSM) Consultant to support the development, configuration and optimisation of a JSM environment. This is more than a standard JIRA administration role. We need someone who can take ownership of requirements, engage stakeholders, design solutions and deliver them through to implementation. A key focus of the role will be developing external-facing JSM portals. Key Responsibilities Develop and configure JIRA Service Management (JSM) solutions. Design and manage workflows, request types, queues and SLAs. Build and optimise JSM portals, including external-facing portals. Configure JSM automation and integrations. Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and business processes. Lead workshops and discovery sessions where required. Translate business requirements into practical JSM solutions. Manage testing, UAT and implementation. Produce technical and configuration documentation. Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency and user experience. Maintain a prioritised backlog and provide progress updates. Essential Experience Strong hands-on experience with JIRA Service Management/JSM. Experience as a JIRA Developer, JSM Consultant or similar. Experience designing and implementing external-facing JSM portals. Strong knowledge of JSM workflows, request types, queues and SLAs. JSM Automation experience. Experience with JSM permissions, access models and integrations. Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills. Experience running workshops and translating requirements into solutions. Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
