The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, finishing, and checking components to ensure they meet the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out bench assembly and production tasks. Assemble components using hand tools and small power tools. Read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions. Carry out drilling, filing, deburring, cutting and finishing as required. Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and report any defects or issues. Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area. Meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Follow company health & safety procedures at all times. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a bench operative, assembly, manufacturing or production role is advantageous. Previous experience within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment. Job Summary The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer is responsible for identifying, analysing, and implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, safety, and cost performance. Using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies, this role works cross-functionally to eliminate waste, optimize workflows, and support a culture of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Process Map and define the contract review process Expectations Format Key stake holders Produce monthly reports to the senior management team of current projects, their progress, and the next projects on the horizon. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and risk-based thinking Analyze production data, process performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities. Support internal and external audits by ensuring processes are documented, implemented, and effective. Facilitate Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Root Cause Analysis activities. Monitor process performance using KPIs. Design and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality. Ensure change management processes are followed, including risk assessment and validation of changes. Assist in maintaining documented information and change control within the QMS. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience in process improvement within manufacturing or engineering environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles. Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards. Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher desirable). Experience in regulated or aerospace environments is advantageous. Root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA). Process mapping and documentation tools (Visio or equivalent). Understanding of ERP systems (e.g. SAP). Knowledge of quality tools including SPC and KPI monitoring. Working Conditions Primarily based in a manufacturing environment. Regular time spent on the shop floor observing processes and supporting improvement activities. Occasional travel to supplier or customer sites may be required.
