Production Manager
We are currently working with a client who are internationally renowned and family-owned manufacturing company founded in 1926. The Company has enjoyed unrivalled expansion in the last decade. Today it operates from five locations Worldwide and exports mechanical handling equipment to over 65 countries. We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join this business.
Key skills required from the Production Manager:
- Must have over 5 years working experience as a Production Manager
- A solid and proven background in CNC/ Machineshop environment
- We require someone who has exceptional people management, through delegation, empowerment, training and coaching
- Managing a team of up to 30 people
- Understanding of and daily use of basic ER & HR management procedures (inc. coaching others)
- Health & Safety & QMS manufacturing experience
- Defining and implementing 12-18month improvement plans
- Managing a manufacturing-engineering production within a modern factory
- Managing small change projects
- Methodically improving manufacturing standards and processes
- PC literate and self-starting to develop IT skills (excel/word/WHM/ERP etc)
The successful Production Manager will to ensure that all manufacturing operations perform effectively by delivering people, customer & SQDC KPIs and goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. It is a key responsibility of this role to implement manufacturing excellence and develop capability by establishing and implementing an 6-12month department improvement plan.

Working hours 39 Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm
