Security Engineer - 3 Month Contract - Hybrid - London - Proofpoint - Outside IR35
My client, a leading global organisation, is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to act as the subject matter expert on a critical email security transformation project - migrating from Mimecast to Proofpoint.
The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on expertise in Proofpoint, including policy creation, configuration, and the ability to deliver effective knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Skills and Technology used by the Security Engineer:
- Must have Proven experience with Proofpoint, configuration and enhancements.
- A strong background within email security.
- Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities of the Security Engineer:
- Configure and fine-tune Proofpoint policies to meet security requirements across multiple European regions.
- Deliver hands-on support throughout the transition from Mimecast to Proofpoint, ensuring a smooth migration process.
- Assist in the deployment and validation of advanced modules, including TAP Isolation, Account Takeover Protection, and Encryption.
- Continuously monitor Proofpoint logs and play an active role in enhancing the company's IP reputation.
- Engage with end users in workshops and security sessions to promote stronger cyber resilience across the business.
- Facilitate DMARC enrolment and validation within Proofpoint to strengthen domain protection and prevent spoofing.
The successful Security Engineer will be working 2 days a week onsite in London.
