Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Temporary Financial Accountant to join a fast-paced finance team on a 6 month assignment. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting critical accounting processes and driving improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering month-end accounting processes, including preparation of journals and reporting.

Managing and maintaining the fixed asset register.

Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.

Completing and submitting VAT returns.

Reviewing the current internal control framework and building a robust risk and controls matrix.

Supporting a process improvement project to streamline finance operations.

Assisting with an ongoing ERP system upgrade.
About You:

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting and controls.

Proven experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and VAT.

Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to hit the ground running and adapt quickly.

Available to start at short notice.
