Job Description

A local authority in Essex is seeking a Housing Allocations Officer to join the busy team. This is a fast-paced frontline role that makes a real difference to people in need across the district.

In this role, you'll:

  • Assess housing applications and maintain the Housing Register
  • Liaise with agencies to verify information and determine priority
  • Support applicants, including those at risk of homelessness
  • Provide nominations to housing associations and respond to enquiries

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in housing and knowledge of the Housing Act (Parts 6 & 7)
  • Experience using Abritas
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
  • 3 days office presence
