My client is looking to employ a Technical Assistant based in Northampton
The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a small Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
- Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
- Carrying out Fabrication and Glass and Plastic audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements
- Assisting with external audits such as BRCGS.
- Assisting with completing export product checks and paperwork
- Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system.
Essential Criteria:
- Food Related Qualification or proven related experience
- Knowledge of HACCP principles
- IT Literate
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Competent in record keeping
- Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- Have a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
- Flexibility towards working hours
