Brent Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Child Protection Team on a locum basis. The service is committed to safeguarding children and supporting families to create safe, stable, and nurturing environments.
You ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload, completing assessments, developing child protection and child-in-need plans, and working closely with families to reduce risk and improve outcomes. The role offers a supportive team environment, with regular reflective supervision and a strong focus on professional development.
With hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home), you ll enjoy the balance of flexibility and in-person collaboration with your team.
Key ResponsibilitiesBrent Council uses a Signs of Safety practice model a strengths-based and solution-focused framework that encourages meaningful partnership with families, helping them identify and build on their own resources to keep children safe.
All case recording and management are completed on Mosaic, ensuring efficient information sharing and integrated multi-agency working.
