We're seeking a professional leader to manage a 4-bed children's home in Suffolk, supporting young people aged 11-17 with challenging behaviours. This is a unique opportunity to lead a service that puts young people first, shaping a positive, nurturing environment where they can thrive.
The RoleAs Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, delivering high-quality care, safeguarding compliance, and excellent outcomes for young people. You'll lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the service operates to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing your staff team.
- Managing staff rotas, training, supervision, and appraisals.
- Overseeing admissions, care planning, and resource management.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
- Collaborating with external agencies to support the needs of young people.
About You- Minimum 2-3 years' management experience in children's residential care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Act 1989, and Care Standards Act 2000.
- Confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
