Registered Manager - Children's Home

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Manager looking for your next challenge?

We're seeking a professional leader to manage a 4-bed children's home in Suffolk, supporting young people aged 11-17 with challenging behaviours. This is a unique opportunity to lead a service that puts young people first, shaping a positive, nurturing environment where they can thrive.

As Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, delivering high-quality care, safeguarding compliance, and excellent outcomes for young people. You'll lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the service operates to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing your staff team.
• Managing staff rotas, training, supervision, and appraisals.
• Overseeing admissions, care planning, and resource management.
• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
• Collaborating with external agencies to support the needs of young people.

• Minimum 2-3 years' management experience in children's residential care.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Act 1989, and Care Standards Act 2000.
• Confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Salary: Up to £65,000 (including bonuses)
• Ofsted bonus: £3,000 for Outstanding / £1,500 for Good
• Full occupancy bonus: £400 per month
• 32 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Company car or £3,000 travel allowance + mobile phone
• Pension scheme in line with regulations
• Flexible working with rota including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins
